15th Iberian Cosmology Meeting
In light of the recent Covid-19 epidemic, the University of Coimbra has yesterday (March 9 2020) announced a contingency plan that involves the cancellation/adjournment of all scientific events in foreseeable future. The University of Lisbon, which also participates in the organization of this meeting, has also made a similar plan.
We are therefore suspending the 15th Iberian Cosmology Meeting, although we are considering the possibility of holding the meeting at a later date in 2020, provided that public health conditions at both the national and international levels are met to ensure the safety of all participants.
Given the rapid evolution of the epidemic, at this stage we are not able to set new dates for the meeting, but we will inform all participants once this decision is made.
We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience this may cause, but we hope that you understand the extraordinary situation we are living and that enforced this difficult decision, which we deeply regret.
The 2020 edition of the Iberian Cosmology Meeting (IberiCOS 2020) will be held at the University of Coimbra from the 6th to the 8th of April 2020. This series of meetings is aimed at encouraging the interaction and collaboration between researchers working in Cosmology and related areas in Portugal and Spain. Researchers working in other countries are also most welcome.
These meetings are designed to encourage the presentation of work in progress. In this same spirit, the meetings will not be restricted to a single focused topic, but are open to cosmologists in the broadest sense, from mathematical cosmology and theoretical particle physics to observational astrophysics. Stimulating interactions between theorists and observers is also a particular concern of the organisers.
The meetings are informal and there is no registration fee. All participants wishing to give a talk about their work should register and submit their title and abstract. Should there be excessive demand, preference will be given to younger researchers.
